Jesus heals a demon-possessed man.  [Mark 5:15]

Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.  [Matthew 18:21-22 NASB]

And below Jesus talks with Peter.  I heard a sermon somewhere discussing this passage of scripture.   Peter wanted to impress Jesus by saying "seven times" instead of the traditional "three times" to forgive somebody.  Jesus then convicts Peter's heart to do much more - 77 times!  Jesus then warns us about doing what the unforgiving servant does in Matthew 18:22-35, and the consequences.

When I read Matthew 18:22-35 I am convicted of my own sin.  I am that servant described in the parable, I need to repent.  Jesus shows mercy by freeing me of my debt! BUT I continually look back and see the debts of others (with the unrighteous belief that they still owe me).  So what do I need to do?  I get down on my knees and confess, and surrender to Jesus at the foot of the Cross!

Dehydration

Hydration - drink from the Spirit that hydrates your spirit by reading the Word of God (the Holy Bible), rather than the plastic, man-made artificial junk that the world tries to force feed us (do they even care about us?)

This is a sort of diagram -

The yellow liquid is the spirit of liquor. It is entering my body, and preventing the blessings of God from entering.

The cyan color droplets represent the blessings of God that are constantly being poured down. In this instance it is not entering the cup of my spirit, but passing over me.

The brown represents my body.  I am breaking several commandments here :

- "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" - By ignoring God, I am replacing Him with an idol, represented by the liquor.  It is a snare by the enemy to enslave me to the ways of the flesh.

- "Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments."

By ignoring God, and allowing myself to become distracted (even by the blessings of God), I begin to "forget" God.  Amnesia.  So it is wise to read and BE FILLED with the words of Truth Himself.

He will show mercy, and you will be blessed if you follow all of His commandments (found in Exodus 20).

I hope this points you to the Word, and be filled!

Guitar Storm

I learned guitar at church when I was 15. In youth group I picked up on most of the basic guitar chords, shadowing the other praise leaders (also my peers). Once you learn guitar, you will truly appreciate the sound it makes in songs that you hear.

The image on the right was inspired by a poem by Jose Palos, featured on a song "The Breaker's Commission" by For Today, a Christian metalcore band.

You can listen to the song here
