Above the Clouds

I love hearing the Word. My pastor illustrated a very interesting perspective on trials and hardship in your life. It can be pictured as a storm. It's easy to get lost in it.

Unlike other birds, eagles have excellent vision. When a storm comes, birds usually hide for shelter, but not eagles. They soar above the clouds. However, not by their own power-they just spread their wings, and let the wind carry them up!

This is a way that we can deal with our own "storms." We are able to catch the wind and rise above, through prayer and petition, and inquiring of the LORD.

You want to battle me?

Imagine having a sword fight with somebody you can't win or lose to.

Valley of Sorrow

I wanted to draw a scene with thunder in it. The top image was inspired by the film "Book of Eli."

If you were to go on a journey what would you take with you?

"What can I do with my obsession
With the things I cannot see
Is there madness in my being
Is it the wind that moves the trees?
Sometimes You're further than the moon
Sometimes You're closer than my skin
And You surround me like a winter fog
You've come and burned me with a kiss"

Woke up at 4 am to the sound of a thunderclap. I hear a crackling explosive boom, followed by the panic of car alarms. It was pure chaos! The sound it made was so terrifying, I woke up thinking "is this the end of the world?" In the distance, more thunder claps could be heard, towards the west.

This image is what I pictured. (That car is a Dodge Charger)
